So I have this duck, who has been graciously sitting on 4 of my hens eggs for me for the past month. On Saturday we had our first hatch at 22days. Now the first 3 eggs were placed under her daily, so I was expecting them to hatch one after the other. The fourth egg was added afew days later and will be 21days tomorrow (Thursday). I candled and floated 2 if the 3 eggs yesterday, and one is truley alive but I believe its the later one. The other looked viable in the float test but I had no movement in candling. So my question is, how long between hatches is normal? When do I say time of death and remove the eggs? She is a fabulous mother to the single chick and I feel deverstated for her because it seems like even shes worried they aren't hatching.
