How long until baby pigeon eats on its own?

I have been handfeeding my single 3-1/2 week old pigeon with seeds twice a day now. Will it eventually eat the seeds I placed in a bowl in its cage by itself? How do I know when to wean it off? Will the pigeon eventually eat on its own? What age do they eat by themselves? Right now, it doesn't stand up yet, or walk around. Sometimes it stands up but it mostly likes to sit on the ground.

It's probably vitamin deficient as it's supposed to have been getting milk of some sort and can't live as a baby on seeds alone. I knew nothing about raising them but when I rescued a naked mourning dove, I bought cat milk replacement for it per a vet. They make baby parrot food too. We've got some Kaytee Exact +fat that I bought for an emaciated blind chicken we rescued. I'd try get something like that to get some better nutrition into it as about now it should be eating on its own.
