We live in the northeast where days are getting shorter and the temps are getting colder. After reading posts on the effect of light on egg production we decided to add a light to our coop. The light is a grow light (natural spectrum) and covers the interior of the coop well.
Our 3 hens had slowed down their production from 18 eggs a week to 8-10 before the lighting change.
How long will it take for them to go back to laying regularly now that they have light from 6am to 9pm?
Thanks in advance!
