How long untill they are completely dry?

It's been nearly 7 hours since my chick hatched, and the little guy is still alittle 'wet'. Atleast he doesn't seem completely dry. Is this normal?

...He's also laying down ALOT. He was very lively the first 2 hours and now he seems to be trying to sleep on his belly, sometimes on his side, etc. Is this normal?

I usually leave the chick in the bator until 24 hours after hatch. At the high humidity, it does take longer to dry, but they dry fluffier that way.

Yes, it is completely normal for the chick to lay down a lot after hatching. It takes several hours for them to get used to their legs and to rest up after hatching.
