How long?

I got three chicks about two weeks ago. I know I need to wash my hands after every time I hold them. How long does this last? Will I always need to wash after holding? TIA!

First things 1st:

I think it's important to wash your hands after handling them for as long as you have chickens. It's just basic sanitation and protects you from anything the birds might pick up and pass on.

Don't worry, once they are grown you most likely won't be holding them quite as often. Their feet almost always have chicken poo on them so you'll want to always wash your hands for that reason alone.
