I just got 9 RIR hens for free. The lady I got them from said that they are all very productive layers. About how long will it take before they start laying again? This is my first attempt at this. Thanks

Do you know how old the girls are? It sounds like they were laying before you got them, correct? If they were laying on a regular basis, they should settle in and start laying in a week or two...

2 of them are over a year old and the rest are at least 5 months. A couple of them started laying again today. We now have 4 eggs
