How long

the reason I was asking is because...if the humidity id too high the chicks could be drowning...but you want it pretty high for the last few days around 60% is a good amount to have in the last 3 days...but the first 18 are the most important that is when the humidity could have gotten too high and gotten too much water in the eggs...you really only need the humidity at 35-45% for the first 18 days...but now it is too late do do anything if the do have too much water...just hope for the best....but if there were too much water in the eggs the chicks would have drowned as soon as they broke the air sack and you said you heard pecking...if there were too much water he would not have made it further than that and you would have not heard pecking....good luck...keep us updated

Well throughout the hand incubation, I never used water, it was always the dry method until 2-3 days ago. I hope i didn't drown them :(..

nope they did not drown if you did not add water until 2-3 days ago...they only drown if there is too much water for the first 18 days they will be fine...also if they all dont hatch today dont be surprised give them all a few days extra

did you turn those eggs by hand...if so how many times a day...I am thinking about using a foam cooler and cut a hole in the top for a heat lamp and add a little window on the side to look in.
