Right now nothing! This is my first time doing this so I'm still learning as I go.OMG! I had no clue u could even hatch eggs that way. I have always used a botor or a broody hen. What r your hatch rates useing this method?
Well throughout the hand incubation, I never used water, it was always the dry method until 2-3 days ago. I hope i didn't drown themthe reason I was asking is because...if the humidity id too high the chicks could be drowning...but you want it pretty high for the last few days around 60% is a good amount to have in the last 3 days...but the first 18 are the most important that is when the humidity could have gotten too high and gotten too much water in the eggs...you really only need the humidity at 35-45% for the first 18 days...but now it is too late do do anything if the do have too much water...just hope for the best....but if there were too much water in the eggs the chicks would have drowned as soon as they broke the air sack and you said you heard pecking...if there were too much water he would not have made it further than that and you would have not heard pecking....good luck...keep us updated![]()
