The barred Rocks look like pullets to me. The black bands are pretty wide on all of them. It's the skin at the base of the comb 'blushing' that is making it seem like the combs are pink. The combs themselves are still very yellow. If the Welsummer starts to get solid black feathers on the chest, then it is without a doubt male.
What do you mean syrup tips?Looks like at least 5 boys. Check the legs for tiny syrup tips and usually they have a little bump where the waddles will be. Also combs usually grow faster on Roos. (But you probably already know most of that)
Well I had planned on selling the ones I presumed were boys but now I don't think I will just yet. At what age will they show for sure what they are? I don't mind having a girl that turns out To be a boy, but I don't want to sell any I think are boys and they would have been girls. I don't think I will actually sell any roos and they aren't very sellable, they will end up being a freebie I think.
Hi I'm guessing my barred Plymouth rocks x welsummers are mostly boys but just want to check. Also the welsummer amongst them I'm sure is a boy. Any help would be great, hard to take great pictures.
I did think you meant this but wasn't sure! Haha. They all seem to have the exact same little tip on the back of their foot/leg even the ones I know are girls. Is there something I'm missing ?Spur tips auto correct:/
