What number would you be comfortable at with these coop dimensions? My husband and I are not agreeing on this.

The main coop is 8x8 that houses all roost bars. A smaller structure sits directly behind it that's 4x4 with a window and the nestboxes and a small door that my kids go to, to collect eggs. So overall 8x8+4x4 gives me 80 square feet. We also have an 8x 24 run attached to the front.

How many hens would you feel comfortable keeping in there?

With 80 square feet inside and just under 200 square feet outside I would house about 20 chickens in there....give or take a few. That would be large fowl breeds. I would think you could easily have 30 or more bantams happily live in the same space. Or, if you have both large and small breeds, you can split the difference.
