how many chickens for this coop?

Have you talked with your neighbors about having chickens? They will be the first to complain to the authorities. Can you discretely find out your local ordinance restrictions? Maybe you should stay with 2 for now and keep your costs down until you are sure that there are no complaints. No roosters. Two could also be considered a school science project? I've had neighbors tell me to my face that it was okay to do this or that and then had them call the city. I'm glad I'm out of the city now.

Sorry to be the heavy here, but I would hate to see you get all invested and then have to re-home the chickens and be out your capital outlay.

Thanks guys...so far so good! Both neighbors are fine with my project as long as no roo. I reinforced the cheap coop so it is working out fine...if I could do it again I wouldn't buy the ebay one for sure but se la vi..not bad for $250.. I have 3...two hens and unfortunately one roo that will be rehomed tomorrow. I will have prob bring back a black copper maran with me tomorrow.

ROOSTER! I had already taken him but my neighbors said they heard him this am. I'm sad I never got to hear him however glad to know for sure. He is now with a new fam and I have a new BCM.
