How many chickens is to much chickens

So I have a chicken run/coop that 12/16 is this enough room for 70 birds to sleep at night?
Please post some pics of your coop, inside and out....and the run too.

I started with 30 and I have 40 more coming, I am worried that I might have over done it.
Yes I believe you have.
Are they all day old chicks? Straight run or pullets?
You can probably sell some.

How do you know how many youll have? If you ordered 70 straight runs then you have a chance of 70 of those being cockerels. (Usually wont happen but can)
So, I have bought chickens from 4 different places I bought 10 chicks in early March this was a straight run an a mix batch of chickens. Out of these 10 6 are roosters which i plan to process as meat birds, I also bought 12 pullets from a local co-op both of these have integrated well. I have 45 day old chicks coming in the next couple of days 14 of the 45 are pullets.

That's 37 roos by my calculations...unless I missed or misunderstood something, but that's even better than you thought then, cause that's 37 or so you won't have to keep long term

Unless you bought started pullets you still have a chance of getting more cockerels. A lady on here bought 1 cockerel and I think 20? pullets. The hatchery messed up big time because she has a ton of cockerels.

BUT with that said I think that's good. You really dont want to overwhelm yourself.
