How many chickens is to much chickens

So, how many chickens would you be able to have in a 1/2 acre back yard? I am trying to not over well my self.
i have 75 adult laying hens in an 8ft x 16ft x 6ft ceiling coop. the coop is nearly all roosts, nest boxes are on two walls. they also have an enclosed, solid roofed but un insulated run next to the coop that's also wired to be predator proof and can be covered with poly in the winter[i live in Minnesota] the outdoor run is my feeding area and they have about a half acre of fenced grass\trees for free ranging in. the bigger the coop the more birds are needed to keep it warm in winter. there are a few worn patches in the high traffic areas, mainly the gate to get out of the fenced run.

Have you been thru a winter with that many birds?
How big is your run?
Pics?

How in the world do you fit 75 birds in a coop only big enough for 30? Is it like a clown car?

Ooh, so the coop isnt 12x16. That's the entire measurement of the run and coop. I misread. How big is just your coop?
That's what I thought too.
So I have a chicken run/coop that 12/16 is this enough room for 70 birds to sleep at night?

12x6
but I plan on expanding it this is just going to be used for them to sleep and nest.
If the whole structure(coop and run combined) is 12x6...
....the coop itself looks to be about 4x6.
Terminology can be confusing.
The 'coop' is the enclosed part where they sleep at night and where nests are usually located. Tho I don't see how nests could be in that coop, if inside the coop may be even smaller.
The 'run' is the open meshed area next to and sometimes under coop where they usually spend most the day.
