With that same amount of room I over wintered, without heat 27 birds. Over winter the tractor did not move and they had a small "yard" to be let out in occasionally. I was tough keeping it clean but they did fine. We culled in the spring and brought things down to a more correct size for the coop ( 16) but then chicken math and a broody has popped us back up to the previous number again!
Sheeeesh! Chicken Mat! Gotta Love It.
