How many chicks is TO many?!?!

I purchased my first chicks (RIR'S) two weeks ago. I ended up buying twelve chicks and have just fallen in love with them. I have had such a good time with my RIR's, I have ordered 20 Red Sex Link pullets, which are due to arrive sometime in May. Now that I have put some thought into this, I have realized that I am going to have 32 chickens!!!

Have I over done it?

I think I have chicken fever!!!

Well we are in the process of finishing our second coop and don't tell my husband but plans for a third on working in my brain. Once you get started it is hard to stop! One good note: I have been bringing eggs to my coworkers at school everyonce in a while and today they would not let me leave with out paying for them. Not what I had intended but it is kind of fun to say I sold my eggs today!!

I bouoght 10 silkie babies today - I already have about 50 chicks - too many?????

Naaaaaw, never too many!!!!!! Just have to make more pens!

lets see.......10....10 and 19.....ok that is whats in the living room brooders.....another 17 outside.......18 going into the hatcher tomarrow......not counting the adults.

Just make sure you have coups and runs for them, they grow FAST and need room to run around in.
