I love your blog!My DH calls it The United Nations of Chickens - I have pictures at my blog: http://allmychickens.wordpress.com/2012/04/12/current-flock-april-2012/
37 chickens
1 Black (BBS) Orpington roo (Jack)
1 Splash Orpington roo (Reuben)
1 red silkie roo (Romeo)
4 Buff Brahma cockerels, 2 pullets (the boys are collectively Buster and Chloe and Zoey)
1 dark Brahma pullet (Angel)
1 partridge Brahma pullet (Shirley)
2 Australorps - 1 hen, 1 cockerel (Mathilda and the boy)
2 "olive egger" (EExMaran) cockerels (Jake and Elwood)
1 "special" black star (MaranxDominique) pullet (Belle)
2 Freedom Ranger hens (thought to breed my own, but that doesn't work - Frances and Flappy)
3 Buff Orpington hens (Buffy, Goldie and Patience)
4 RIR hens (Esme, Githa, Agnes and Magrat)
5 Barred rock hens (Sault and the ladies)
1 blue x buff Orpington pullet (Baby Chicken)
1 Dutch Bantam hen (Lucy)
1 black orpington x SL Wyandotte hen (Rose)
1 Dominque pullet (JujuBee)
3 EE hens (Prissy, Gracie and Willow)
I lost my Blue Orpington hen yesterday. I need a local-ish source of BBS Orpington chicks. I want them so very badly, and hatching eggs are only giving me 3 chicks at a time. I'd like 10 or so chicks - and they could be the full BBS spectrum. I'd even go with Lavenders.
My first pullet chick was hit by a hawk, the second by the neighbor dog and Precious, I believe, had a lingering injury from the dog attack. Nothing I could see, but she just seemed off since the attack and nothing seemed to change that.
ETA: 25 meatie cockerels, 3 Embden White goslings, 4 Red Bourbon turkey poults and 3 chocolate turkey poults to be joining us. Also some Welsummer and Maran chicks.
