I have a barred rock that lays a few double yolkers a year. I often wonder if it's painful to pass such an enormous egg. Poor thing.

My chickens are soon to be 6 months. I get 9 to 10 eggs a day and I have been getting 2 to 3 double yolks a week. But I have been told to not count on this cause it will not happen forever.

None from this flock, about 3 years. Darn. Got them often as a kid when we had RIR.

I have eleven pullets that started laying in mid October and are all producing now. I've only gotten two double yolk eggs so far. The first one was long and skinny, very weird looking, and the second one was just enormous.

I have seven hens who started laying in September. Delawares, RIRs and Buff Orpingtons. While I have not seen any in the last month, I would estimate that my hens have laid around eight double
yolkers. It was pretty exciting the first time.
