How many duck eggs did you EAT today?

i made french toast from 2 slices potato bread and 2 duck eggs I soak them a long time until they almost fall apart so they get like a whole eggs worth into each slice of bread

Now i'm hungry! - Have not eaten since breakfast and that sounds delicious. Do you bake your own potato bread?

not this time. my son is the bread baker but he moved half way across the country last year

There are two things that i absolutely miss here in the USA:

1. Black salty licorice
2. German bread

From time to time i order some licorice from the piranha infested tropical river, but bread? - Not even the dux would eat that sponge-like stuff they sell at the grocery store...
So i am baking all my bread myself and it sometimes is frustrating. I have not managed to bake bread with a crunchy golden brown crust. I assume my oven does not get hot enough.
