Maybe it looks different with chickens, but what i found looked very different from the pictures in the article. I searched every corner in the dux-house thoroughly today and have found nothing unusual. You're right, i have no clue who laid that.
What makes me thing that it wasn't salpingitis is that there was no smell at all, neither from the out- nor the inside. And it really had the consistency of the yolk of a salted egg.
