I got 8 duck eggs today, out of 10 ducks. I was surprised - 5 of my ducks are new from this spring.

I got 2. Not sure why they all went on strike today, lol. (8-12 has been the norm lately.)

It's moulting season. A lot stop laying at this time and their energy goes into growing the new feathers, not laying eggs.

I know they'll start slowing down before long. I haven't noticed any of them molting yet, though. I live in a tropical area, also. My ducks do most of their molting around November and December.
