How many duck eggs did you get today?

I have been lucky and have been getting anywhere from 6 - 8 daily. Lots to give away now which is nice.

2. and I had to throw out one more broody egg. One egg left with the runner and I think the K/C has given up . Its too hot for them to be doing this.

I am Blessed. It was 63 here early this morning but will get up into the higher 80's so mine are still laying. I have not collected yet but will in a little bit. Mine are still laying though because we are not getting the heat wave that a lot of poor other people are. I feel for all of you.

2 proper eggs, 1 rubber one. 95ish F. One duck got sunstruck? - was just lying down, hiding in the bush, silently opening its beak. I shooed it to a deeper shade and offered a basin of water fresh from the well. She seemed better in the afternoon, rejoined the group.

We have not been below 80 in two weeks. My poor older ducks are missing many feathers and look terrible. 5 eggs today.

I had to break some broodies last week it was just too hot for them to be sitting. Poor things we panting. No fertile eggs either.

We get a lot cooler at night and early morning. I got 5 eggs also but am lucky with the cool mornings and nights for them at this point. Not sure what August will bring though. Our weather has been very unpredictable lately.
