How many duck eggs did you get today?

It’s that time of year again! Matilda is the only regular layer. Remi lays when she feels like it (once or twice per week). Goon2’s implant is working and she’s living a happy and hormone-free life. Goon1 is as broody and grumpy as can be, sitting on an empty nest, incapable of being anywhere near her sisters. Sooo, 2 today, but likely only 1 tomorrow if any. No one is molting. They should get to it as the first frost will be here soon, likely within the next week

Joy my Muscovy will not break from being broody I take her out every morning close the coop up and when I open the door late afternoon she runs right back inside and gets on her "nest". Shes nuts and 12 yrs old too.

@Magnolia Ducks wants some of my blue eggs for hatching but they are not laying any blue ones recently.

5. I actually got my granddaughter to go in the coop and get them from the old ducks. She is scared of the spiderwebs and would not go in before today.

Ha, none. I have no ducks. Chicken-wise though, about three. I have thirty-five chickens though. Some are too young; some are too old; some are roosters; some are molting; and some lay who-knows-where. It's funny.

First light frost of the season. Adding corn and sunflowers again. Molting seems to be done? Still going strong at 6/8 eggs.

Opened the door to one of the coops and was happily greeted by an egg! Well, after all the ducks ran out to eat.

First one in a while. I'd resigned myself to not having any more until Spring.
