How many duck eggs did you get today?

Twentyfour eggs today (24 !) - They had a hidden stash in one of the corner boxes. Had to candle those eggs but they are just fine, maybe 2-3 days old and not incubated.

Fifteen eggs today. They are trying to hide them under a thick blanket of old straw and Violeta and Buffzilla spend most of their days in the dux-house…

Got my first duck egg of the season today…yippee!

And 3 quail eggs. With supplemental light, they’ve laid clear through the winter. I’m incubating 30 eggs in hopes of increasing my quail hens for more eggs. The ducks aren’t always reliable.

Objection! - I have ducks since 2018 and they have always laid through Winter. Yes, they slowed down but never completely stopped. With the exception of this year where they stopped laying eggs from early December to the end of February. Not sure why, because this Winter was not particularly brutal.
