We've decided to add peafowl to our menagerie of chickens and guinea fowl. I'm watching eBay auctions of 4, 6, and 8 eggs. One of my Cochin hens can cover 12 Guinea eggs, so how many Peafowl eggs do you think can they cover?

I dont have peafowl but i have turkey eggs underneath a black austorlorp.. She has 9 guinea eggs 3 turkey eggs and a double yoke chicken egg. So if i were you id putt 6 peafowl eggs under her.

you did say BANTAM cochin right?? or was that a mistype??

i'm thinking of my little cochins out in the yard (bantams) and looking at the peaeggs that are sitting on my counter, and i'm thinking 2-3
MAYBE......

good luck!! they're great....

*edit*
how big are guinea eggs?? my pea eggs and hte turkey egg si had shipped are about the same size... are guines closer to chicken size?? or bigger?

My silver Phoenix hen can cover 4-5 peafowl eggs comfortably or 6 turkey or 18 guinea eggs.

I usually put 3 under my silkies. Might be able to cover 4 but I want to be sure.

Yes, she is a bantam Cochin. I bought 8 eggs, so I'll put 4 under her and 4 in the incubator.
