How many eggs can an African goose set on?

Trust me. You are not. I'm a country boy. I was born and raised in the sticks. We know all about predators. I trap constantly around my place. I haven't caught a opossum or coon in a long time. I wasn't trying to keep anything out. I'm trying to keep stuff in.

LOL, well as long as you know when you put the food out there even in feathers, they WILL come.

By the way. Two geese layed today. One layed this afternoon. Just not sure which one it was. I have two Canadians as well. Hoping to raise some from them.

Found one of my Africans had passed in the night. Her head was tucked under her wing as if she were sleeping. I thought she was sleeping until I walked past and she didn't move. I saw no sign of foul play. I think she must of went in her sleep. I'll watch the others more closely for the next few days but I saw no warning signs. She was perfectly healthy yesterday or seemed to be. I'm not sure how old she was but she was laying every other day. I guess the decision was made for me which one will end up with that nest.

I'm sorry to hear this, geese /ducks/ chickens hide their illnesses so well till sometimes we just don't see it. till it's too late. I hope the rest will be okay. again so sorry.

My wife told me not to tell her when things die. It bothers her a lot. I found myself getting up at 2 and 3 am the last couple nights and walking out and checking on everything with the spotlight. Everyone else seems to be doing great.
