4 today ( I have 8 hens).

has happened like
that now about 3 times

Two of 17.

But, the high in my backyard today was 117. It's down to 114 right now. If I didn't have AC in one of the coops, I'd have a lot of dead chickens.

I wish we'd get some rain to cool things down, but the dewpoint is too low at 44.
