I got 2 eggs today!!

this was our girls first time laying! I am SO excited. I seen the first egg then one of the chicken was scratching around in the nest box when I was trying to take pics of it and she cover the egg. while searching for it I FOUND another egg!!

1 egg out of 2 chickens all the others have not started laying yet, the two just started, one st arted today, the other started thursday

ONE tiny egg yesterday!! Never thought I'd be excited to find ONE egg (out of 7 old enough to lay). She's my recovering broody silkie - the rest are in different stages of molt, with two almost fully recovered and one as "naked as a jay bird."

I'm three for three today from my new Americana girls! I've had one a day since I got them a little over two weeks ago, but finally decided it was okay to let them out to free range and got two yesterday and three today! Wheeeee! Merry Christmas to ME! It's so nice to have chickens again!

34/36 golden comets. somebody must be hiding 2 collection at 10 am
Have added two lights on timer. On at 6 am off at 9 am on again at 4 and off at 8.
This seems to have help in getting them laying in the am and not late afternoon.

Expanding the coop to house another 30 or so. We have been selling out every week.
