Nice! I'm asking Santa for an egg scale!

Yep just gave the girls their oats, been mixing sunflower meats, and scratch grains in too.
They Snarf it up like Lightning!!! Thinking about FF been checking out the posts

1 C Oatmeal
1/2 C Sunflowers Meats
1 C Scratch Grains
2 C Hot Water

I might have to try that tonight. It was 62F Monday, 25F this morning. I bet they wouldn't mind a little warmer-upper before bed tonight.

Fermented Feed, it looks easy enough and people are having great results hmmmm may have to try it....

You SURE you don't have a duck in the coop still wearing its Halloween chicken costume? OUCH!

How much FF can one make in a whirlpool tub before it gets up to the jets?

We don't use that bathtub and it was the chicks' brooder. Not sure the wife would go for it though if there is any odor problem. That bathroom is right next to the laundry area.

we collected 13 eggs today from 13 hens. 9 brown, 2 pink & 2 blue. The roos still refuse to lay. haha.

YAY! 8 today and one was a huge 88 grams! Gotta go check what size that makes it since I only did my cheat sheet up to 77 grams..
The chart rates as a behemoth, now that had to hurt, wish I could have heard her egg song today?

Hey Twinz.....I had my biggest ever egg this morning too...80g! Whopper. The lid of the egg carton won't close on it. hahaha Interestingly, I had been getting 6 from 6 for several days straight, but yesterday only 5, so I'm guessing today's whopper would have been yesterday's normal size egg but for some reason wasn't laid.

My wife went out at 10 this morning but one of the Anconas was in the nest box so she gave her some privacy, went back out about noon, and found two.
That makes 8 since Sunday,

Got some slackers! Of course some of them don't have combs getting particularly red yet so we'll give them a pass for now

From top right, counter clockwise. Sunday (1) Monday (2) Tuesday (3) Wednesday (2). Here's hoping they fill out the carton tomorrow!

Of course, since the max we've gotten in one day is 3 so far, I don't know if 4 is even possible yet.
