How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

6/10 3 days in a row!!! Can't believe how fast and much these brown sexlinks are laying. Today is 5 months to the day since I got them, and 3 out of the six eggs weigh out as large eggs over 57 grams on my digital reloading scale. Kind of wondering how long I call them pullets and when they will be full fledged hens??

Dang I know what ya mean, my golden sex links lay these enormous brown eggs every day, hard to call them pullet eggs LOL! I think after a year they call them hens? Regardless though them thare ain't no pullet eggs!!

Rhoise- enlighten me once again....FF??
Fermented Feed, it looks easy enough and people are having great results hmmmm may have to try it....

Other hen p i s s e d off because the temperature has dropped 10 degrees = 0 eggs

we collected 13 eggs today from 13 hens. 9 brown, 2 pink & 2 blue. The roos still refuse to lay. haha.
Awesome, I have a little "mutt" production red hen named ruby who lays pinky brown golfballs! I'd love to see the blues and pinks, betcha have a cool looking basket! I was not thinking egg color when i picked my chicks out this spring. Love seeing all the colors. I grew up on brown eggs and thats what I have now :)

Ruby......and Gertie in the backround.....

Rhoise- I took your advice and gave them their warm oatmeal tonite before they went to bed. They loved it! I had all I could do to get thru the coop door, they were crowding it. I guess it was a nice surprise for them

Now they will be hitting you up for it every night when you go to say good night! Chickens seem easy to train, at least as far as expecting treats every time a two legged thing shows up. Now if they could be trained to poop in specific places rather than wherever they happen to be standing.
