have I got you a chicken story for you................i and my daughter went out yesterday to let the chickens out. well all was well and went to put them back up. counted 1 missing, our banty black cochin hen-lola. well she and i walked all over the place, yelled our dumb heads off------no chicken. we had to go inside to get ready to go get my sister from work...comforted kali (my daugther) said she will be back to go to bed. came back home-----------------searched and searched---no chicken. so told kali she will come out in the morning when she gets hungry. woke up this morning-----searched------no chicken. had to go to school and work. so we got home today. searched and searched----------------still no sign, BUT WAIT I HEAR A BOK BOK. so we listened----BOK BOK again! we start searching the weeds, under-over everything......AND THERE SHE IS.............UNDER THE PLASTIC THAT IS COVERING THE ZUCHINNI'S. i pick her up and check her out. kali takes her to the swing and cuddles her, sings to her, swings with her. turns out lola is fine...back with her chicken family. now i have a lap chicken...kali has her favorite chicken willing to let her cuddle her.
7. Still doing good! I'm hoping they don't stop laying with the cold weather. We have another storm threatening for next week. I know lower NY can't take much more, my daughter went down to help some of those affected by Sandy this past Sunday and she said it is quite a mess and very sad to see so much loss.
6 from 6 again today. No whoppers though. I think I've bought what counts as "scratch" here in Oz and some ACV so I'm all set to start experimenting with the FF. Fingers crossed. Our warm weather should get things going rather quickly I imagine.
