How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

We have been getting 3-4 per day out of 6 girls. They are 11 months. Is this about normal??

Phoebe gave 2 eggs this week

she has given 2-3 since April last year.

Phoebe way to go!! She still has it in her, she will be 2 in may.

3/6 today. And I dropped one of them on the floor.

I thought I had broken the fall with my foot, but it still cracked the shell so I cooked it up and the girls got a nice warm treat!

Um, you haven't been hitting the sherry while cooking with it have you?

I don't know. THREE in one day seems pretty unlikely. How many breeds do you have and how easy is it to tell who laid a given egg?

15 eggs from 16 hens/pullets! ( I think....)

But one was cracked down the middle. :/

The Gals really stepped it up today. We've been getting 17 for the past several days but today we got 20 eggs from our 24 BSL's. And 3 of them were enormous. I'm sure all three are well over 3 ozs each. On the scale of Large, X-Large, Jumbo I'd have to say these are Mega! They won't fit any carton I have. Young hens do lay some pretty big ones when they first start but soon they'll settle down and lay large eggs.
