How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

28 last night with rain/sleet mix and 40 today with broken clouds. We got 4/14 again. I'm running a little short on eggs and my customers are a calling!

Cold snowy and 7 degrees at night, still getting 6 out of 8 . To 8 out of 8 ! Today's treat, romaine, Raisens and oatmeal. ( all after 4:00 ) always want them to eat there feed first.

4/5! One of my EEs left me an egg for the first time in weeks! It was huge too! This poor girl is a tiny bantam, and managed to lay an egg the size of my Orpington's.

Only 5 today. The 10 that are "working" are only putting out a dozen every other day on average.

That is 1 dozen for a "customer" at work, 1 dozen for another "customer" at work. A dozen for us and 1/2 dozen for my in-laws. That leaves zilch for all the "wanna be" customers. Clearly I need more chickens

Got 1 today! FINALLY! They molted in the fall last year and never got going again, but today is the day. Back to laying!

We got 20 big brown ones from our 22 BSL's. A very good day!

We got 11 eggs from our 16 hens today, 6 white eggs and 5 brown eggs, our two blue egg layers took the day off.

I think I'm sold on the BSLs as our next additions.
