8/14. All brown and including another soft shell it's official we caught one of the 17 seekers is laying!! I thought she was but finally caught her in the act today!

14/17 today best day in quite some time.
We've been battling a few broodies and the last one is in the broody breaker as I type.
SHe was particularly nasty, and since it was so hot we let her go for a short time. I think she was scaring some of the girls and keeping them out of the nest box.

Mine just started laying. I was getting 1 egg a day. But now we get 2. we have 8 hens but not all of them are laying yet. They just turned 18 weeks.

Anyway the buffs were almost 30 weeks old before they started laying. But they are pretty good layers once they get the hang of it.

I got 4/4 today, since they have been in the new coop there is more space to lay, in the old coop i was getting 3/4 max

I checked the coop at 8 pm when I closed it up and there were none, then the next day I opened it up to check and there were 5! I only have 4 chickens?????
