How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

I haven't gotten a single egg out of my four today. It's been about one a day for a while. My neighbor has four, has been getting one a day, but said she got four yesterday... Maybe they are picking back up? I sure hope so, stingy little girls!!!

The itty bitty egg and one from this morning



Quarter, itty bitty egg and regular egg.

Actually, I had a few that were even smaller than that, from older hens.
And, BTW, they are edible. though some may not have a yolk.
Only had one with almost no white or anything in the shell. LOL

The AL in the nest box laid the itty bitty egg. I didnt have the heart to throw it out (yet)
She worked so hard to lay it.

Me and Cinnamon, she is extra friendly!

None of the ones I have had were that friendly.
Though Red will let me pet her a bit if she is busy trying to lay an egg in the nest.
Goldie will not, matter of fact, she will try to peck.
I put some feed in a heavy plastic dog food bowl on the platform over the nest boxes for her, and she will come in and hop up there for it.
But no petting allowed then, only when laying in the nest.

BTW, I got 2/2 Today (Monday).
I was half expecting they would drop off during our hot summer.

Out of my 7, I am getting 3 to 2 a day. The 3 are 17 weeks old and the other 4 are only 15, so helpfully in another few weeks will be getting 6 to 7 !
