How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

I went away to camp, but I was blessed with 5 eggs from 3 layers when I got home.

ONE eggs from my four girls... They ve been so bad lately!! One was laying in a box, but was just teasing, as there was never an egg in that box when she got out

I have a few that tease me too. My hubby found on on the floor this morning and almost stepped on it. I went out to give them their water and got 3 more, and one jumped in the box, so I might get 6 today.

we got 5 today, one Duck and 4 chicken, 2 brown and 2 white

Only 1 so far today. Not sure what's up with my other girls. Usually everyone is done by noon.

I got 6 today, thought I was going to get 7 but Cinnamon tricked me. I had one new egg. Don't know who laid it, probably an AL, but she poked a hole in it so I tossed it.

When i have gotten slightly damaged eggs, I give them to the dog on his food. i cannot see wasting them, and eggs are supposed to be good for his coat, which is always good anyway.

this is the 4th we have gotten. they just started laying 10 days ago. We just started giving them Oyaster shell yesterday so hopefully this helps. last time there were 3 "oops" eggs.

I started mine with small grit as chicks, and proper chow for them. then switched to laying chow, which has dome well. I have a bag of Oyster shell I need to get to the shed. 50 pounds is a heavy little bag, and I am not supposed to lift weights. Should get even better shells once they have the shell to pick at. I have not gotten any no shell eggs. A few that the shells were thinner.
should improve more with the oyster shell.

I was supposed to have 12 brown egg layers.... some how I ended up with a Leghorn.... mix up at the store I figure. That's ok with me because she is very reliable. I get about 6 a day right now, just wondering when the rest of them will catch up and start laying.

when Mine started, i did not know who was and who was not laying. I thought was more than one, but it turned out to be one, Red, laying em all. Took near 2 months before Goldie started, and a tad longer for the black hen.
Now it is only red and Goldie.
Goldie is bigger than red, lays fatter eggs, reds are more elongated.
with the old hens, i had gotten a few tiny eggs, some with a yolk, some without...

This past weeks take:
1/2 on tuesday.
2/2 on Wed.
2/2 on thu.
2/2 on Friday.
Nada yesterday.
2/2 today.
Seems like they are not halting due to the heat, just taking a day off here and there.
odd part is, yesterday, one was cackling up a storm like she had laid an egg, but were none.
Can't figure out females, LOL
and I have 9 female critters, 4 goats, 3 asses and 2 sheep. one still young.
they complain, sometimes, even when they have been well fed...

I'll post it as soon as I can get to the family computer. To give you an idea, a quarter was barely the same size!!!

I did end up getting 8 eggs today if you want to include the ity bity one....
