How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

No eggs for 2 days

I've gotten 6/8 so far and it's not yet noon. My two non-layers today are a pullet who hasn't begun laying yet (due any time now) and a hen that is old as dirt and rarely lays. A girl can hope though...

2 from 3 today, so tomorrow I should get 3 from 3. We will see how well I do at predicting.

Which breed gave you pink? How pink is it? I'm planning a breeding project for next spring to create a hybrid that lays true pink eggs.

The pink eggs come from my gold laced wyandottes

As of yesterday, I can no longer say the Charlie Brown saying from It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown "I got a rock." I got my first egg ever yesterday. I was so excited. And today, my daughter came home and let the chickens out to free range and my Buff Minorca laid another egg! Woo hoooo!

So - for me, that's 1/9 but I'm happy with that right now. Excited to see any eggs at this point! I thought I bought "broken chickens." LOL
