Thank you Joel. We got 24/26 yesterday. I am very pleased with my hens' egg production. I have 26 hens that I raised from chicks starting March this year, 2013. I bought these chicks from local stores as day old chicks. I have 10 Red Sex Links (look like Cinnamon Queens); 10 Silver Laced Wyandottes; 3 Rhode Island Reds; and 3 Yellow Buffs (sex links). All my hens are considered egg producers. My hens will be 8 months old this week and they have been laying since I got my first two eggs July 23rd. I feed my hens Nutrena layer Crumbles and Pellets. Occasionally, I give them cracked corn on the ground. I hope the pictures come through. This is my first posting pictures.

I got 1 yesterday and none today. I did decide that since we are going through an egg strike now is a good time to deworm, so at least I won't be tossing dozens of eggs (watch, tomorrow all 7 will lay)

We got 3/9 today :/ however, not all of our girls are laying yet, the most we've had is 5 in one day, that was this past weekend. They're 27 weeks today so hopefully they will all be starting out soon!!!

Seems like our hens are still laying and doing a great job of it without artificial lighting so far. We had a dozen from 17 yesterday! And by the way, how do I make those cute little dancing and smiling icons?

1/3 so far... but we added a hen last night who went on the offensive and did not make friends or nice-nice. LOL

This hen wasn't laying for the lady I got her from (so I'm not counting her just yet until I know she will lay), but I'm hoping maybe my girls, lots of light and high protein will help kick her back into production. Haven't seen any real fighting, just normal establishing pecking order squabbles. She's nervous.
