2/6. This is the lowest number I've gottn so far. The weather here has been a bit strange though.... Warmer days and then freezing temps.Even my lilac bush is confused-it started to bud. Oh well!

8/13 I got another but it was cracked so I gave it to my chickens.

4 out of 10. I got "first eggs" out of 2 today...a black Cochin banty and a Black Copper Marans.

8/12 today. My two EE's stopped laying about three weeks ago. I thought they were great cold weather birds! They are wintering well - perhaps they are not just great cold weather layers

I got 9 of 12 today. THEN, I found 2 frozen and cracked eggs underneath a chair on my back deck. There were leaves under the chair but no snow. One of my production blacks was on the deck when I went out and gave me one of those looks

because I had put something under the chair to block her out!! LOL

They do look alike, we also have a 9 year old gelding that is similar in color. Beautiful animals.
