Sounds like mine.... one day 6 the next 12. Now our temps are back into negatives and single to low double digits... they will freeze before we can collect them each day. I just need a broody hen to keep them warm.

Awe I have a leghorn also and my egg from her today was so big I can't close the egg carton !!!

So far just 1...... They lay throughout the day and I usually don't gather until around 2 or 3pm but one hen decided to lay before 7:30 am...lol
