Do you have any keets yet? I have 4.5 dozen guinea eggs and 4 peafowl eggs! I'm going to be busy!

It is still only mid-afternoon, so I still am holding out hope for the last egg, but we are 3/4 so far!!!!! Woohoo yippee skippee party in the hen house, we haven't seen 3 eggs in a day since the first week we had the ladies!!!! I am BEYOND EXCITED and still hoping for that perfect 4.

I started the ladies on a good sized ration of meal worms every other day, black oil sunflower seeds (BOSS) every day sprinkled with a very liberal dosing of ground black pepper and red pepper flakes. Started this the day before yesterday. In addition to their normal layer feed, greens (that I get for free from farmers market each week) and their ground egg shells (or oyster shell when I need to use that). Yesterday I only got 1 egg, today so far it is 3 beautiful brown eggs!!!!!

5 of 5 Whoot! I believe this is our last pullet to start laying. The egg was laid at the other end of the coop away from the nesting box. (which I found the others did when they laid their first couple eggs.) The egg is quite small too, where the others have already gotten larger as they have been laying for a couple weeks now. Yay chickies! I so adore my 5 girls.
