A nice 105 F degrees great to have a cool day again with light 5 mph breeze .......

3/8 so not that great of a day. One hen quit laying all together this month and another has gone broody. The weather has been crazy on top of that helicopters flying over the farm all day long. I think the noise is upsetting the hens.

0. I think they've found a new hiding spot for the eggs - or the introduction of the new chicks has stressed them. :/

Thurs 3/3 all laid in the afternoon

Today I am expecting probably 2, dh thinks it might be another perfect game day. I will be happy with 1-2 . Kids come home from camp today so I had to buy eggs yesterday because we only have 9 from this week that didn't already get eaten.

Hubby was right!!!! 3/3 today! Since a week ago Thurs this is my 4th perfect day. The kids think that the hen that passed away was keeping them from reaching their full potential . Lol

My "chicks" are 9 1/2 weeks old now so we are half way there to more eggs! They are all black sex links so I am guessing that sometime in late August to Early September they should start laying.
