Only 110 F degrees with a 10 mph wind coming out of the south ...

Eight! Some girls have been sneaking into our barn to lay eggs and we found them all over today. Looks like I will be floating eggs tomorrow morning.

6 days straight of 0/3. I am thinking my old girls are not liking this heat one bit!

7/9 today - still waiting for one Ameraucana and one Austrolorp to start laying. Getting a lovely rich brown egg from my Cuckoo Maran. I just love going out there to see what surprises they have for me in the nest boxes. It's been in the mid 90's so I was expecting them to "lay off" a bit but I guess not.
