How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

I got my first egg on June 28th.

Be careful what you wish for - this was taken after I had boiled 2 dozen to feed back to the girls and gave away 3 dozen.....and still they come! :D There is just DH and me, my son, his wife and 2 little girls (one of whom hates eggs in any form), and my daughter and her little boy!! But as of today I'm down to 11 chickens from 19, so things should become more manageable......

Holy cow im in for it in six months I got 18 RIR's and might be getting some more chicks this week

0/30. Waiting not so patiently 13 girls are 16 1/2 weeks old and clearly getting more ready every day.

I hope everyone that said they want eggs weren't fibbing when my 30 get their groove on!!

We are getting at least one egg a day and sometimes two eggs. I think only one or two hens are laying right now so I am hoping to get lots more soon! :yiipchick

We haven't had any yet. My girls are just over 5 months or about 20 weeks. They are RIRs if that makes a difference. I am starting to worry. Anyone got any ideas?
My pullets are exactly 20 weeks old (there are 6 of them of different breeds). The RIR laid an egg at exactly 17 weeks. She has always been bigger/more developed than the other pullets so I think she just has some unusual growth patterns. The white plymouth rock laid at week 20. The other 4 are still just hanging out being kids. The Amber link is close to POL, but the sussex, Easter Egger and Red sex link are not even getting red in the comb yet. They have all been on the same feed with the same amount of free range and everything else. Just like people, the chickens will develop at different rates. I think hatcheries advertise eggs at 20 weeks so people will buy them since everyone wants eggs sooner rather than later.

15/19....there'll be a change in numbers tomorrow because I'm now down to 11 chickens. Hoping for 11 out of 11, but they got a little stressed out today so I'll forgive them completely even if they all miss a day or so.
