How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

1 out of 4 so far this morning but it's still early. Today is the warmest day we've had in over two weeks (30's today) so I'm hoping that puts the other three girls into an egg laying mood.

5! New pullet egg but it was frozen

because it was on the floor next to the feeder where the girls dig down to the floor. And 3 more girls in nesting boxes. Here's hoping for a bunch of new layers today.

Nope, not today.

We have a new layer today, a surprise white egg! Makes 2/3! But the day is still young.

I got 1 new flock, first egg!

It is on the small side but I will give her time! 1/11

12/13 ;6/7 red comets and 6/6 leghorns we're averaging 11 eggs a day! And I thought production would slow down this time of year, everyone I've talked to in the area are amazed we're still having great production! Guess who's making deviled eggs for all the family festivities this week!

I was right! 3/3!! That's 2 tiny pullet eggs, and 1 hen egg. To my surprise the new layer lays white eggs??

Now waiting for another 5 to start laying.

0 a big fat 0 for months now.
OK so some of it is from the new coop and putting all the hens together causing an upset there. Some of it is from serious molting going on and even more is that they are getting older and it is now winter here.

Still 0 eggs in 3 months is getting seriously old.

Yesterday was a first for us... 8/8!!!! Today was not so bad either...7/8!!! 15 eggs in two days is something to be proud of!!!
