0/6....still molting....I noticed today that those new feathers that have come in, are not only beautiful but also VERY soft. I am just thankful that the bitter cold and snow are giving us a break here. Hopefully, before the next round gets here, ALL of their feathers will be in. Poor things!

Yes I noticed my girls being so soft and fluffy! No snow yet for us...so I'm glad they won't be freezing!!

Wow, that's a very pretty speckled egg!!

One brown this morning, day was still too young for more. Temperatures are very, very cold, -26C = -15F and feels like -36C = -32F.. sunny today but the chickens are not let out!!!

4 today. the only time i get speckled is on one end of egg from new layer.

14 from 15. 261 eggs in November,chicks were born 6-13-14.First egg laid at the end of October.
