We have Big R, and the chicks are coming on the 18th! One second I say that I am downsizing, the next second I'm planning hatches and can't wait to see what the feed store is getting in for chicks.....I think I may be driving my husband crazy........

Nope it's (-) again Wind chill warnings until tomorrow sheesh.


Hubs just said whatever you're going to do, no brooders in the house. No problem.

21/30. They have been increasing production every day for about a week and and a half. We went into short days and frigid temps before about half of my young flock had reached POL. Hopeful they know more about weather prediction than National Weather Service! Lol!

6 today. Saw my one EE go into a box a few times but no egg today

2/4/6, possibly 2/3/6, one of my girls was ill with an impacted crop so she quit laying the last few days (to add to the other two who are not laying), she is better now. But not sure when She'll start again, hopefully not until she has her nutrition and strength is back up to snuff.
