12 eggs from 33 hens... 18 of them are new (I've had them less than a week) and 8 of those are pullets so I guess I shouldn't complain

There's three old ones that don't lay much, three currently broody, one with chicks, so that works out almost like 5/6.

# eggs/# laying hens/ # chickens total. Although I don't see why chickens who don't lay is pertinent. Oh, well. Who asked me?

Catalonia, Spain?? WOW! How cool is that? Where, exactly? I have a friend over the border, near Perpignan, France, in the foothills of the French Pyrenees. Closest international airport is in Barcelona. Am supposed to go visit one day. I've been to Madrid and Toledo, and loved the country. The food is fabulous, as is the local wine!

I live in the south of Catalonia, near Tarragona, but sometimes visit Barcelona. Been to the Pyrenees once, but on the Spanish side. Beautiful place, really is.
