How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

18 eggs out of 22 layers. 3 hens went broody this week. 2 are with chicks. And above all my hens have lured a someone esle's rooster so a pretty big rooster for dinner tonight.

Oh I dont plan to give much scratch. The kids like to give treats though so I let them have a handful of scratch or mealworms during our after-school egg check.

I have 3 hens laying and got 3 eggs! I have one that should be laying any day now....waiting and my cross beak that will probably never lay but is our pet.

thank you I have saved the site and may recover the entire coop with one
allowing all natural light in, I have a 40x 100 ft of burlap ordered to use in the coop for warmth and allowing for it to be taken down and rolled in winter.

burlap is good for shade in the summer also

7/8 And first my first time ever my son has sold eggs, and they wanted 5 dozen! He was very excited. I am so glad that our hens are pretty great layers!
