8/25 another slow day. The gloomy weather effects every sort of life form, the chickens hate it and the deer just love it.

WooHOOOO! We got 13 eggs from our 36 layers (2 don't count since they haven't laid the first egg yet). First time in ages when we have more than 8 or so. My older blue Ameraucana, Charlotte, started back today after a very long hiatus for molting.
