Temps, well it looks like a few more days of t-shirt weather as it was 86F degrees with a light breeze most of the afternoon yep I was talking to several of the good old boys and gals at the local hard ware store and the consensus is we are going to have temps in the high 120's degrees this summer and I believe that was the reason for the sell out on air conditioning and swamp cooler parts ...

6 chicken and 2 ducks! And one of the duck eggs is blue! So glad another of the ducks is laying and laying blue eggs...that's why I got runners cause their known to sometimes lay blue eggs

400

Top egg is the blue egg and below it is the normal color egg I've been getting for awhile can't wait for the other 2 ducks to start laying too

doesn't look very blue but the lighting wasnt great and the egg has some stains on it even though i cleaned it as best i could

Awesome egg count! I hope you made sure you picked up all the parts you may need. It sounds like you may be in for another scorching summer. We had school today, but they have already called it off for Thursday!

How is your rooster, Karen? (or should I ask?) I've been thinking of him and I've been wondering how he's making out.
That depends on which rooster you are asking about. The one that got real bad frost bite is doing much better! He finally lost the scabs on his wattles & most of his comb. He still has black scabs covering all of the points on his comb. He & his companion are still living in the 75 gallon aquarium in the spare bedroom!! I'll take a picture of him tomorrow so you can see how much he has improved! I told my hubby that we need to get the electricity fixed to the fruit cellar so that I can turn it into a hospital/brooder area and keep the chickens out of the house!
If you mean the EE rooster that had developed wry neck, I had to put him down a couple of months ago.

Thanks for asking wickedchickens6!

37/41 and 16/17.

@chickendreams24
I use amprolium to treat them, but I think their case is much severe than I thought. That's why they got out of hand. They've been taking clean water for a month no medication and they're doing good. All of a sudden I notice the three hen looking sick and I got a lot of pressure from my boss at work. So I couldn't take action so early. I guess its my fault.
